What led you to apply to Wrigleys for your role?
I relocated from London for personal reasons and used it as an opportunity to transition away from childcare litigation, the area of law where I gained my initial experience as a paralegal. Wrigleys culture and breadth of work was very attractive, and I was really pleased to be offered a role within the trust administration and court of protection team in 2017. Working as a paralegal in the trust administration team, I was able to apply legal skills gained elsewhere as well as having direct client contact which had been lacking in my previous roles. I remained keen to achieve qualification through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and Wrigleys attitude towards professional development and ongoing learning gave me confidence I would be able to achieve that goal at the firm.
What sets Wrigleys apart from other places that you have worked?
Wrigleys has an indefinable sense of warmth. Colleagues show a real commitment to striving together to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients, whether that may be the provision of a personal allowance or ensuring that a property is fit for purpose. Wrigleys has demonstrated in its response to the pandemic that the firm is prepared to listen, respond and make changes where these are consistent with the overall needs of the firm I’m fairly ‘new’ to the legal world, and found Wrigleys to have a refreshing lack of aloofness or snobbery that can be associated with practising law. Colleagues are all valued for what they bring to the firm which helps to make Wrigleys a great place to work.
What would your advice be to somebody considering joining Wrigleys and why?
I would encourage anyone to accept an offer to join the Wrigleys team, which offers a blend of outstanding legal work within a culture that acknowledges the human capital of its workforce.
How would you sum up working at Wrigleys?
People and community. The people at Wrigleys apply their talent and skills to the benefit of our clients and together we’ve created a community of enterprise and common purpose which is a great thing to be a part of.
