Creating an academy complaints procedure

All academies must have a complaints procedure in place. This article summarises the guidance available.

The DfE has recently updated its guidance to help academies avoid common pitfalls, to ensure they meet legislative standards and to share good practice.

Similar guidance has also been made available for local authority maintained schools, maintained nursery schools, local authorities and Dioceses.

This guidance replaces the DfE's Schools Complaints Toolkit 2014.
