Job Summary:

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager. The role is hybrid and will be based in our Leeds or Sheffield office.

About The Role

This is a key role within Wrigleys Business Development & Events team, delivering strategic support, tactical BD activity and support aligned to the firm’s BD strategy. Leading key projects and work areas within the BD&E department while supporting the firm with BD duties on a day-to-day basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the implementation of all related marketing and business development activities for a number of fee-earning teams
  • Support the creation and implementation business development annual strategies and activities
  • Monitor ROI of BD activity through investment proposals and marketing expenditure reports
  • Be the key BD contact for the fee-earning teams
  • Support the implementation of all related marketing and business development activities
  • Support head of business development & events to implement strategy in line with firm and departmental business strategies and action plans
  • Build and maintain relevant relationships across the business
  • Responsible for creating, editing and maintaining content for social media and website across the firm
  • Oversee the integrated media content campaigns
  • Support and encourage creation and management of central tender resources
  • Researching tender opportunities within suitable markets for relevant fee-earning teams
  • Monitor opportunities for press releases and case studies for relevant team
  • Coordinate with external resources to design advertisements, in both printed and online publications
  • Direct support for external relationships with third parties for fee-earning teams, for BD purposes when requested
  • Ensuring all systems and weekly reports are updated accurately and completed on time

Job Experience:

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of working as a manager in a Business Development function (min 5 years)
  • Outstanding organisation skills
  • Experience of working in a professional services firm
  • Experience of building relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers
  • Experience of using social media platforms, X and LinkedIn
  • Able to take instruction and work on initiative
  • Good IT literacy, including an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to produce presentations and spreadsheets
