Since we came together in 1996 the growth of Wrigleys from a 2 partner firm with a total staff of 14, to a medium sized firm now with 22 partners and a total staff of over 130, has been achieved in equal measure by organic growth and from our origins, absorbing the specialist private client and charity departments of other well known practices. Future growth will be restricted to our existing specialist areas, but we continue to expand and would welcome recognised experts in those areas who wish to join us.

Areas of practice:
Josephine began her career at Eversheds and has specialised in pensions law since 1997. She advises on all areas of pensions law, including advice to employers and trustees on all aspects of scheme design, obligations under statute and trust deeds, as well as the drafting of scheme documentation (including revenue simplification changes).
She has dealt with mergers of schemes, acquisitions and disposals of businesses, and public sector transfers. She has experience of public sector pension schemes, private sector schemes and industry-wide schemes.
A merger advised on recently, involved consideration of the Pensions Act 2004, and in particular, new provisions regarding the circumstances in which debts arise under statute.
Most recently, Josephine has been advising trustees in the context of the Pensions Regulator's new powers to impose contribution notices and financial support directions – the so-called "moral hazard" legislation. This has necessitated her involvement on corporate re-structures.
