Like many law firms, Wrigleys Solicitors LLP (“we”/“us”) uses DocuSign to facilitate the execution of documents by their clients.

Our processing of personal data through the DocuSign process

Where DocuSign is used to execute documents, we provide DocuSign with the name and email address of each signatory to the document (and, where required, details of any witnesses). We share this personal data with DocuSign to facilitate the execution of the document, pursuing the legitimate interests of the parties to ensure the effective execution of their legal document(s).

Once a document has been executed through DocuSign, we retain information received from DocuSign, including the executed document and the ‘certificate of completion’ provided by DocuSign, for our records.  The certificate of completion includes information about when, how and where each signatory signed the document (including details of any witnesses).  In this context, we hold your personal data to pursue our legitimate interests of evidencing the execution of the legal document(s).

Full details of how we process your personal data (including your rights as a data subject) can be found in our privacy notices, which are available at: https://www.wrigleys.co.uk/about-wrigleys/privacy-notices.

DocuSign’s processing of personal information

DocuSign manages the signing process (and processes personal data in doing so) independently and we do not have control of DocuSign’s policies and procedures when managing the execution of documents. DocuSign acts as an independent data controller and processes your personal data in accordance with its privacy policies, which can be found at: https://www.docusign.com/privacy.

If you have any questions or concerns

If you have any queries or concerns in relation to a document you have been sent by us through DocuSign, in the first instance please get in touch with your usual contact at Wrigleys.

If you are not a client and/or are unsure who to contact at Wrigleys, please contact our data protection representatives via email to: partners@wrigleys.co.uk, via post to 3rd Floor, 3 Wellington Place, Leeds, LS1 4AP or via telephone at 0113 244 6100.
