Laura Moss is a partner in our charities and social economy team.

Laura advises a wide range of charities, establishing new entities, merging existing ones and advising on constitutional changes, trustee duties, vires issues, trustee disputes and more.

As well as core charity work, Laura has a particular interest in social business, working with organisations which have social values and purposes at the heart of their corporate structure.  This includes social enterprises, co-operatives, B Corps and employee-owned organisations.  Her interest in ESG extends to academia, having completed a Masters dissertation on B Corps, evaluating their effectiveness as a means for businesses to hardwire corporate responsibility into their governance and reporting structures.

Laurel is an associate in our charities and social economy team.

Laurel joined Wrigleys in 2017 and qualified into Wrigleys’ charities and social economy team as a solicitor in 2020.

Laurel has experience working with a range of charitable organisations and social enterprises, advising on governance, legal structures, incorporations, mergers, interactions with regulators, and winding up.

Martin is a Chartered Accountant based at Dodd & Co’s Carlisle office. As a manager at Dodd & Co, part of Martin’s role is to oversee a portfolio of clients, including charities and not for profit entities. Martin has a particular interest in assisting charities’ finance departments to produce information that gives a clear and realistic picture of charitable reserves.  

Faye is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and specialises in advising those in the healthcare and third sectors. Faye provides expert advice to the charity sector on structure and financial management as well as the routine year end accounts and audit or independent examination work. Faye is also Dodd & Co’s VAT partner and advises charities and businesses how to keep ahead of ever more complex VAT rules and regulations.

Joanne is a Chartered Accountant and has worked with charities for over 15 years. As a charities partner at Dodd & Co, Joanne advises charities on a whole range of issues including governance, effective management of funds and structures. Joanne provides advice to charities in all aspects of their life cycle, from registering and structuring the charity appropriately, routine compliance in the areas of accounts, VAT, tax and independent examination/audit, through to planning exit strategies and winding up.
