Areas of practice:
Qualifying as a solicitor in 2013, Lucy provides comprehensive and practical advice to individuals and trustees on a wide array of private client matters. Her expertise includes lifetime tax and succession planning strategies for such clients, which frequently involves the use of trusts and partnerships, as well as considering tax efficient wills and powers of attorney. Often, Lucy’s focus will be on matters such as maximising claims for agricultural and business property relief from inheritance tax, particularly when advising landowning, farming and estate (or other business owning) clients.
Lucy is also experienced at advising trustees and beneficiaries on the capital tax implications and implementation of complex trust re-structuring exercises, including the review of those constituted under the Settled Land Act 1925, and has been involved in applications to vary trust provisions under the Variation of Trusts Act 1958.
