Position: Managing Associate

Areas of practice:

Caroline qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and deals with commercial and charity property matters. In particular, areas of focus are:

• Railways – acting for Train Operating Companies in relation to railway property, including retail underleases as well as leases of stations and depots, including global station leases on franchise renewals and mid-franchise supplemental leases in connection with station development projects

• Charities – acting for charity and community groups in relation to leases, sales and purchases, including compliance with charity law restrictions, authorisations and procedures, and advising on title matters relating to the ownership and historic trusts. This work also includes community asset transfer leases from local authorities, and property transfers on charity mergers, including dealing with permanent endowment issues.

Caroline is also a trustee of York Neighbours, a local charity working with older people in the York area.
