It will cover the key questions an employment tribunal will ask in an unfair dismissal claim and will also provide an update on recent unfair dismissal case law including:
• Supreme Court: was a dismissal motivated by whistleblowing in a case where the dismissing officer had no knowledge of the disclosures but was being manipulated by the employee's line manager (Royal Mail Ltd v Jhuti);
• EAT: was a dismissal for failure to disclose safeguarding information about the employee being a risk to her own daughter in breach of the employee's human rights (Q v Secretary of State for Justice)
