Wrigleys Trustees Limited as COP approved Panel Deputy

Wrigleys Trustees Limited, our trust corporation at Wrigleys Solicitors, remains a Court of Protection approved panel deputy, available to support people who lack mental capacity.

Some professional deputies are called “panel deputies”.  A panel deputy is a deputy appointed from the Court approved list (who have undergone a stringent application process).

It is often the case that a panel deputy, including Wrigleys Trustees Limited, are approached by the Court of Protection or Office of the Public Guardian as a panel deputy from the approved list when there is no-one else willing or able to act as deputy for someone who lacks mental capacity.  Whilst the approved panel list; https://www.gov.uk/guidance/panel-deputies-list-of-court-approved-professionals is utilised by the authorised Officers and Judges at the Court of Protection, it is also a useful source and tool for those professionals (or members of the community) who wish to seek out a professional deputy, approved by the Court for their panel list and who may, or may not, be in the region or perhaps with a specific area of expertise within their firm.

If you have any queries in relation to how Wrigleys Trustees Limited may be able to assist as professional deputy, or other services our firm offer to support deputies and those who lack capacity, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
