Areas of practice:

Michael qualified into Wrigleys’ Pensions team as a solicitor in June 2021, having completed his training contract at Wrigleys.

Michael advises on all aspects of pensions law including both private and public sector matters.

With regards to private occupational pension schemes, Michael advises trustee clients on queries arising from the day to day administration of their schemes, including scheme documentation issues, UK GDPR compliance, and GMP equalisation.  On the employer side, Michael advises on liability management proposals, scheme closure exercises, and employer debt issues.    

Drawing on his experience as a trainee in the charities team, Michael is well placed to advise charities and other third sector bodies on their pension obligations, including those arising on the outsourcing / insourcing of services and also on incorporation, reorganisation and merger.  Michael’s experience in this area extends to both private pension schemes and public sector schemes, including the Local Government Pension Scheme.
