Ecclesiastical law is the law which establishes and regulates the legal entities which comprise the Church of England. Solicitors at Wrigleys have, since the mid 1990s, advised a Diocesan Board of Finance and we currently act for a number of parochial church councils. We have particular expertise in church property matters, ecclesiastical patronage and issues relating to cathedrals.
Work with religious charities can provide interesting challenges as different things are important to different faiths. At Wrigleys, we are used to dealing with a wide variety of faiths and structures.
We provide a broad range of advice to religious charities on matters such as compliance with legislation, commercial prudence where faith is the principal motivation, formation and governance issues, employment issues and property law.
